The metering pump is mainly composed of three parts: power drive, fluid transport and regulation control. The power drive device drives the fluid transport diaphragm to achieve reciprocating motion through the mechanical link system:
The diaphragm (piston) will be sucked in during the first half of the stroke and drained out of the pump head during the second half of the stroke; Therefore, the purpose of adjusting fluid throughput can be achieved by changing the reciprocating motion frequency of the stroke or the stroke length of each reciprocating motion. Because of its different power drive and fluid delivery, metering pumps can be roughly divided into two types of plunger and diaphragm.
1. Plunger metering pump

2. Diaphragm metering pump
As the name suggests, diaphragm metering pump USES a specially designed and processed flexible diaphragm to replace the piston, which realizes reciprocating movement under the action of the driving mechanism to complete the suction and discharge process. Due to the isolation of the diaphragm, the separation between the metering fluid and the drive lubrication mechanism is realized in structure. High-tech structure design and new material selection has greatly improved the service life of the diaphragm, coupled with the excellent corrosion resistance of composite materials, diaphragm metering pump has become the main pump type in fluid metering applications. In the diaphragm metering pump family members, hydraulic driven diaphragm pump due to the use of oil to drive the diaphragm evenly, overcome the mechanical direct drive under the pump diaphragm force is too concentrated shortcomings, improve the diaphragm life and working pressure ceiling. In order to overcome the possible failure of single diaphragm metering pump caused by diaphragm breakage, some metering pumps are equipped with diaphragm breakage to realize automatic chain protection when diaphragm is broken.
